I'm searching for websites for good herbs. But i keep finding websites that are over priced on herbs and they are really mainstream sites. My friend told me to try to find a good Indian website that they sale the herbs in whole, like leaf and plants rather than already packed.
Anyone know of a good website? im searching but still cant find anything good.
thanks for the help.

I really like Blessed Herbs. See www.blessedherbs.com/ . Ignore the fancy "kits" they have on the front page and go for the bulk herbs. I have found them to be high quality and have good customer service.
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Blessed Herbs in any way -- I've just been a satisfied customer for many, many years. -

Sat, November 29, 2008 - 2:25 PMI'm increasingly disenchanted with Mountain Rose. The quality of the herbs I've been getting from them has gone steadily downhill for the last two years. -

Tue, December 9, 2008 - 9:08 AMif you ever have problems or are unsatisfied in anyway with mountain rose, contact them. I've talked with Shawn on occasion and am more than impressed with his commitment to quality. While I pick most of the things I use myself, and get the burnt of the rest of it from individual growers/wildcrafters (sources here: www.herbcraft.org/links.html), for cut and sifted herbs or nondomestic plants mountain rose is among the best.

They sell essences. The process is proprietary, so the marketing guy wasn't completely specific. But their products are very good - highly concentrated essences. Certified Organic. Kosher. Vegan. The stuff isn't cheap, but it's very, very high quality. Reading between the lines, I think they do at least a supercritical extraction, a calcination, and a Soxhlet-style step along with buffering to prevent redox reactions followed by a partial vacuum removal of most of the solvents, all low temperature. They end up with everything but the cellulose and sell it in a vegetable glycerol base. Most of their trade is with herbal pharmacies which buy and combine the essences.
The people I talked to were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Sat, January 17, 2009 - 3:18 PMMany suppliers get their from Horizon Herbs, not sure if that helps but worth a shot!
I wished there were a site that was somewhat like a wildcrafter collaberative, that would be COOL!!
