Does anyone have any interesting experience with this? What herbs did you take and what happened? I'm trying Oil of Oregano, garlic and Olive Leaf, and am waiting for my Clarkia to come in the mail. Nothing's happened with the former herbs, we'll see about the Clarkia.

Combine diet of raw, grated carrot with the garlic (of course you can eat other things too, but restrict it and make carrot the bulk for 1 day/ week for a month) - the bulk and abrasiveness of the carrot moves parasites out of the bowel.
Also, Artemesia vulgaris (Wormwood) is a classic herb for treating parasites. Just take as tea.
    This has worked with kids.

    what are you expecting? :)

i'm by far not an expert... but have you tested positive for parasites? there are certainly different kinds... in some cases it's pretty obvious when you're infected, many not as much.

Also WRT wormwood, if you do try it do research & be careful of dosages -- it's apparently toxic at fairly low levels...

No, I just read that most people have some kind or another, and got worried. My chiro warned me about the wormwood as well. Anyway, curezone.com is the place to go for this subject, for sure.

      WRT wormword:

First - different varieties of wormword have different levels of thujones and there are wormwoods with almost no thujones but you cant tell by looking.

Second - the US has lifted its outright ban of absinthe as long as they limit the thujone so apart from thujone the alarm over this plant may not be justified.

Third - I would be interested in any modern studies confirming the toxicity of thujones or any other components of wormword. Most information is near ancient and possibly related to alcohol poisoning with absinthe.

But yes, do you own research.

I have to correct my previous post as there are studies confirming that thujone is indeed mutagenic (cancer causing) and should be folks should avoid long term exposure.

Dont drink too much for too long a period.

I worked with a girl who was telling me she had a tapeworm when she was young. She named him Stuart. When she got hungry she would say, hey let's go feed Stuart.

Sorry, just had to share. ;>

Be aware that there is a lot of fear out there...and to me this is fear based.
If it is not broke, don't fix it.

Renew Life makes a really great herbal parasite cleanse. You can find in most every health food store. I've had success with their products, high quality, integrity and reasonably priced. It's also nice the way they give you the capsules (veg!) and liquid extract with a pretty easy to follow program as well. I think it is really useful to partake in a regular cleansing program as there is so much out there. Good luck!

raw rice parasite cleanse ~ 1 week or more

    >first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything, rinse (do not soak) 1/4-1/3 cup raw short-grain rice, chew until liquid, eat nothing else for 3 hours (unless hypoglycemic)

    >renew your system with raw sauerkraut, or yogurt (if not vegan)

I treated one woman with a tapeworm. Her MD didn't believe her and told her to see a shrink. She came to me and I put her on a diet of wormwood tea (yes, be careful with this stuff), pumpkin seeds, black walnut hulls, and colloidal silver, which I taught her to make at home (way too expensive at the store).
The tapeworm died and she pooped it out. She put it in a jar of vodka and took it to her MD and waved it in his face. "I wasn't the one out of touch with reality; you were!"
A crappy story, but I love to tell it...

what made you suspect/treat her for a tapeworm? did you know in advance, or did you just suspect parasites? what were her symptoms? thanks!

ive seen a lot of people freak out about parasites with no actual reason to do so. we all have different organisms in our intestines, some we want to encourage and some we dont.

in any case, i would suggest that it is always better to try gentle, steady methods of improving digestive health - like eating well, decreasing sugars and carbohydrates, taking natural probiotics like miso and sauerkraut and yogurt, eating bitter foods or taking digestive bitters, etc - before you choose a more invasive and aggressive method - like a purge. the way most purges work is by creating a hostile invironment for life in your gut. kinda like how antibiotics work. in some cases this is necessary, however, my opinion is that in many cases it is not.

daily use of triphala powder (you stir a spoonful in water, let it sit overnight, then dring the water) over a period of several months is one of the best (and most gentle) methods i know of improving digestive health. if you really feel called to try something beyond simple dietary changes, you might want to consider taking triphala.

heres some basic info i googled.

I did this at the same time I was detoxing from yeast and molds. I used Paragone, which has many of these, as well as Black Walnut, Pumpkin Seed, etcetera. The hardest thing was to find anything to eat! If I were to do this again, I would do the yeast first, then the parasites, so I could have more food choices - I lost a terrible amount of weight and was already underweight at the time (and on top of it, it was winter!). I don't think I ever had a parasite problem, I think it was entirely yeast. However, I had friends who swore by that stuff, and they had more parasital issues than I did (mine were definitely mold and candida).

Chronically tired, craving sweets - you know, the normal Candida stuff. I was very underweight and run down over time as well. Also, with the airborn molds in the summer, I had allergies for the first time when I lived there - I haven't had that again, though I live where it is nice and dry (although cold hehehe)
