Fri, January 4, 2008 - 8:29 AMIn addition to the suggetions of Nettle and Seaweed internally, I would add Nettle and rosemay hair rinses. I make a nettle rosemary soap/shampoo bar that I love.

Fri, January 4, 2008 - 8:54 AMHow do you prepare the Nettle and Rosemary? -

Re: Hair growth
Fri, January 4, 2008 - 11:00 PMI love to use nettle vinegar. For this I steep fresh nettle in vinegar for 6 weeks. But since it is not nettle season, I would suggest making a strong water infusion with dried nettle (see my website for instructions on making an herbal infusion
moonwiseherbs.com/recipies.htm)
combined with dried or fresh rosemary. Steep for 4 hours. Add a splash of apple cider vinegar and use as your hair rinse. The more rosemary you add the nicer the scent will be. Depending on how much hair you have you can use a cup or more total liquid for rinsing. Hope that is helpful.
Blessings

Re: Hair growth
Sun, February 3, 2008 - 12:35 AMI like these together too, awesome! I do not care for seaweed, but horsetail and alfalfa have plenty of minerals! I also eat flax seeds to keep my omega 3 oils up too! However, I also eat (or drink) a ton of nettle and rosemary along with oatstraw, comfrey, sage, red raspberry leaves and other things that likely help too!

Sun, January 6, 2008 - 6:32 PMPlease nobody with curly or chemically-treated hair do the vinegar thing -

Re: Hair growth
Sun, January 6, 2008 - 7:33 PMIt's too long to elaborate but if you don't want to damage your hair, use a tiny amt of vinegar in a lot of cool water, unless you have curly or chem-treated hair, in which case don't use it at all. Unless you enjoy damaged hair or funky after-effects.
Personally I would make an infusion using water and drink it a lot. Hair grows from inside. -

Re: Hair growth
Mon, February 11, 2008 - 5:42 PMI have heard people who have curly or frizzy hair instead using a gel they create by soaking flax seeds, and that it works very well. They use a couple drops of a citrus oil in it to preserve it and keep it in the fridge. I forget the proportions, but I bet a google search will bring you info on that.

Re: Hair growth
Fri, January 11, 2008 - 10:49 PMI rinse my hair with vinegar 2 or 3 times per week. The after-effects that I've experenced are no more dandruf.
What are the "funky after-effects" that you refer to ??

Re: Hair growth
Thu, January 10, 2008 - 9:29 PMLets think of the basics. What is hair made of?
Hair is an eliminatory product. If we consume more cyctine amino acids then the body will excrete them as hair.
I have people take 1800 mg N-Acetyl Cystine per day, eat sulpher and protien foods and take a basic prenatal vitamin. First the nails start growing fast, then the hair growth is notices. -

Re: Hair growth
Thu, January 10, 2008 - 9:33 PMdo those same suggestions apply to thinning hair, Parad? -
-
Re: Hair growth
Mon, February 4, 2008 - 6:56 AMI find that dyeing hair with henna keeps it from splitting and breaking, so it tends to grow longer, if not faster, and it is also thicker that way. -

Re: Hair growth
Mon, February 4, 2008 - 11:13 AMThere is a patent formula called "Seven Treasures for Beautiful Hair' it is based on nutrifying the blood, and increasing the elements needed for the body to reproduce new hair, and provide some nutrition to the skin and nails. -

Sadly, no. It just makes the hair that is remaining grow a lot faster and thicker.
