I just purchased some schultz rooting hormone and was wondering if there were any organic alternatives. I found info about boiling willow branches and letting simmer for 12 hours or so, then mixing the tea with soil. It had great reviews...anyone ever tried it?

Re: Willow tea as rooting hormone
Wed, October 22, 2008 - 4:48 PMI heard a talk this summer by Richo Cech of Horizon Herbs www.horizonherbs.com
He says you can use any kind of willow. Make a tea and use it to help plants grow roots.
Her does this with seedlings and transplants.
